As a juvenile, the Fuscus trigger is yellow with scribbled blue lines covering its body. As an adult, the color changes to green-blue with the broken blue lines becoming more complete and filled in. The Fuscus Trigger is one of the more colorful triggers available to home aquarists.
Triggerfish can be rather aggressive and are best kept with fish of similar size and aggression. Their diet should consist of vitamin-enriched meaty frozen foods, such as shrimp, squid, and clam. Most triggers can be very destructive in a reef set up, and, and gennerly not recommended in a reef system.
