The Rainbow Rose Bubble Tip Anemone, also known as the Four-colored, Bulb Tentacle, Bulb Tip, or Bubble Tip Anemone, is a less common color variant of the Bubble Tip Anemone. It is distinguished by its enlarged rose to red colored tip at the end of its tentacles, adding a beautiful pop of color to your marine aquarium.

In the wild, the Bubble Tip Anemone can be found in coral rubble or attached to solid reefs, with its pedal disc deep within rocky structures. When hungry, it extends its tentacles to capture prey, and when full, the tentacles shorten and return to a bulbous shape.

To provide optimal care for the Rainbow Rose Bubble Tip Anemone, house it in a large, well-established aquarium system with high water quality achieved through efficient filtration and protein skimming. Provide moderate or medium water movement using powerheads or wavemakers. A minimum of 30-gallon aquarium is necessary, as the Rainbow Rose Bubble Tip Anemone can grow up to 12 inches in diameter. Consider a larger aquarium if planning to keep it with other fish or in a mixed reef system.

The Rainbow Rose Bubble Tip Anemone hosts photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae in its body. Therefore, moderate to high lighting conditions achieved by T-5 fluorescent, powerful LED, or more intense metal halide light fixtures are necessary to maintain its health, coloration, and bulbous tips.

Under intense lighting conditions, it maintains a compact shape with bulbous tips. If the lighting is insufficient, it expands its body to make the most of the available light, and at times, its tentacles may appear stringy, indicating the need for more food or lighting.

Be cautious when handling the Rainbow Rose Bubble Tip Anemone, as well as all Anemones, as they can sting other Anemones and Corals.

Feed the Rainbow Rose Bubble Tip Anemone a diet of chopped fish, shrimp, worms, or other meaty items.
