The Eyebrow Barnacle Blenny, also called the Tube Blenny or Reefsand Blenny, is a species endemic to the Eastern Pacific and is found in distinct locations from the tip of Baja California to central and southern Mexico. It has a color range from tan to dark brown and 10-12 darker brown bars, with a large brown ocellated spot on its gill cover. To keep this entertaining fish, a well-established aquarium of 30 gallons or more with multiple hiding places and plenty of rock is suitable. The Eyebrow Barnacle Blenny is known for racing fast and furiously to snatch food from the water column while avoiding being eaten by other fish. They are attentive fish that constantly watch the aquarium, waiting for a meal to come their way. They tend to take up residence in small crevices in the rocks and are seldom seen in open water.

For optimal health, the Eyebrow Barnacle Blenny should be kept in an aquarium with a large number of crevices in the rocks to hide in. Its diet should include meaty items such as finely chopped crustacean flesh, vitamin-enriched frozen brine, and mysis shrimp.
