The Magnificent Foxface, also referred to as the Magnificent Rabbitfish, Andaman Foxface, or Red Fin Foxface, boasts unique and beautiful colors. Its face is white with a black band, while its body is half white and half dark brown to black, with each fin edged with yellow or red. This species is very hardy and an excellent addition to a newly-established tank. A tank of 125 gallons or larger will provide enough space for this peaceful species, except when housed with other rabbitfish. The Magnificent Foxface can coexist with more aggressive fish because its predators tend to leave it alone due to its venomous dorsal spines. Generally, rabbitfish are reef-safe as long as they are well-fed, but they may nip at and consume some species of LPS and soft corals.

The Magnificent Foxface's diet consists of fresh vegetables and undesirable species of algae, but it may nip and eat some soft and hard coral polyps.
